बातें,
कुछ बातें बस यूँही हो जाती हैं
क्या शोर क्या शहर
अल्फाजों में कहानी लिखी जाती है
ऐसी ही एक बात हुई
और बात ने सवाल कर लिया
कब तक बातों में संसार ढूँढोगी?
मैंने सिर्फ सिर हिला दिया
मानो झकझोड़ दी गयी, और
इसी बात ने शायद जगाया मुझे
धुली हुई नई चादर ने
एक बार फिर से रोका मुझे
अब ना रुकना था
यह जगह अब मजलिस नहीं
रुकी, उठी और चल पड़ी
वो बात फिर अधूरी ही रह गयी
